Here are the two comps thus far:

We are redoing the takeout box concept. He would like us to pursue the idea of using polaroids to tell a story. Marie and I were thinking of going to the upcoming NPDA with you guys and documenting the students there. It is almost like the story will be the "day of NPDA", Another story that the polaroids could tell would be about the evolution of an art student from days of finger painting, to the high school level art student. We feel like the story should be really dynamic and we arent there yet. SO please give any idea you have!! Have nice weekend and please try to be at the monday meeting at 7:30 and the Tuesday meeting at 3:40. They will be for about thirty minutes or less. If you cant make a meeting please post on the blog any thoughts. See/hear from you soon.

Photo Retouching Project

Photo retouching involving merging of facial features. Steps taken: I brought the image on top of the background image. I then turned the opacity down to resize and position. I turned the opacity back up and then put a layer mask on. I used the brush tool to paint the areas of the the unwanted part of the layer. Then I painted with white to bring back accidental erasures. I finally adjusted the opacity of brush (about 30%) and fine tuned the areas around the hair and beard.

For this image I used the pen tool to create a path out of the dog. I then copy and pasted the image into this document with the background. I adjusted the brightness contrast of the images and then changed the saturation a bit. After that I merged the layers and burned in a little by the dog.

Step one: I adjusted the color balance and saturation. I then burned in a little on below the boat. After that I added a little noise.

Step one: I used the pen tool to cut out the image of the train. I then pasted the path into the sunflower field. After that I Adjusted the color balance of the train. I then changed the saturation of the sunflower fields. Once I was more or less finished with the two images I merged all visible layers. I then added noise to the image. I also used the clone stamp tool to get rid of a random spot in the background.
